Phase One – Infrastructure & Staffing Needs
0.88 acres of land have already been purchased and fully self-funded.
To complete Phase One, we must secure an additional 1.5 acres and finalize essential infrastructure that ensures safety, sanitation, and operational readiness.
⸻
1. Land & Infrastructure Needs
Land Expansion
• 1.5 acres of land – $50,000
Expanding the campus footprint is essential to support classrooms, trade workshops, student housing, and future program growth.
⸻
Site Security & Perimeter
• Concrete barrier fence wall (for the existing 0.88 acres) – $30,000
Safety is a necessity due to local conditions.
• Two metal driveway gates – $4,000
⸻
Safe Water Access
• Safe drinking water well – $6,000
Only about 60% of Haitians have access to safe drinking water.
• One well is already installed and is providing free water to local residents.
⸻
Sanitation Facilities
• Two-stall toilet facility – $2,000
Only about 37% of Haitians have access to basic sanitation.
A single stall exists currently for construction workers.
• Two-stall shower facility – $2,000
(One stall already built.)
⸻
Storage & Construction Support
• Storage depot completion – $8,000
The lower level is built; funds are needed to complete the upper section for secure storage of tools, materials, and supplies.
⸻
Road Access
• Road repair to the property – $2,000
Less than 20% of roads in Haiti are paved.
Dirt roads are frequently damaged, requiring ongoing repairs.
Long-term plan: install durable road-base material to ensure safe access year-round.
⸻
Income-Generating Multi-Use Building
• Cross Multi-Use Duplex Building – $35,000
This structure will:
• Provide limited onsite habitation,
• Generate income to support the school,
• Serve as a hands-on training space for hospitality and building-trades instruction.
A total of four duplex buildings will eventually be required.
⸻
2. Staffing Needs
To maintain daily operations, security, and student support, Phase One requires:
Security
• Two security officers – $200/month each
Safety is essential for staff, students, and visiting volunteers.
A third officer will be needed as the campus expands.
Operational Staff
• Superintendent – $400/month
Oversees day-to-day project management and construction coordination.
• Handyman / Groundskeeper – $150/month
• Two cooks – $200/month each
In Haiti, employers are expected to provide meals for workers due to widespread poverty and food insecurity.
• Driver – $150/month
Transportation is essential for supply runs, logistics, and staff travel since availability of vehicles is limited.
⸻
Transportation
• Used multi-purpose vehicle – $15,000
Necessary for transporting materials, staff, and supplies to and from the site—especially due to damaged roads and limited public transportation.
⸻
Total Phase One Impact
Phase One establishes the foundation—literally and operationally—for a sustainable, trade-based education center that will:
• Provide safe water and proper sanitation to students and workers.
• Create local employment.
• Offer secure infrastructure in a region with limited paved roads and scarce public services.
• Generate income to help the school become self-sustaining.
• Lay the groundwork for trade education that can transform lives, families, and communities.
Your pledge fuels progress.
We can’t do this alone — but together, we can build something that lasts for generations in Haiti.
A small commitment from you becomes real change for them.
